About

Michael Bellusci is a Canadian author, poet, teacher, and entrepreneur. Apart from his business ventures and professional career in building and architectural designs, Michael was also passionately engaged in his creative pursuits, poetry, art and writing.

A graduate from the University of British Columbia in political science, Michael was also a regular contributor for Marco Polo World News, and Your Health publications. As a writer for the paper, Michael had the honour of being invited to the Meeting of Eleven Round Table, an event where he had the pleasure of interviewing the then Minister of Immigration for the Canadian government. In previous writings, Michael chronicled his observations of a rapidly changing world which resulted in a historical fiction novel, The Humana Chronicles, and the Dream Nation.

Michael:s, current novel, The Sailor from Lampedusa–Escape to Paradise, was inspired by real events surrounding an ongoing world crisis. It’s a story of adventure, forbidden love, discovery, and compassion. This is a contemporary fiction novel that raises the curtains behind the scenes and exposes the existential dilemmas faced by front-line humanitarians.

Coming soon, Michael’s next novel. The Taming of the Wild, is a story of adventure, mystery, and romance that takes place in the Yukon wilderness. Aspects of this book were inspired by a true story. A gripping tale about a manhunt into unknown territory, reveals a test of wills.

Articles, books, short stories, and poetry are regularly featured on Michael’s blog. For more information and updates please subscribe below.
