ON WISDOM
Caption from the book, The Sailor from Lampedusa. We may think that by doing a good deed we should be rewarded in kind but often that is not the case. There are many unsung heroes who not have only been rewarded, but have sacrificed everything, in some cases their very lives. If you are on a noble mission, the intrinsic value lies in the mission itself. If you want to do good, do it because it’s the right thing, for fate operates on a different plane.

ON GROWTH
We often sweat the small stuff and let those minor irritants become our primary focus. That can be in relationships, petty issues at work, or succumbing to road rage because someone cut you off. Do you really need that? By doing so we often overlook the big picture, the overarching goals, including in may cases our own health.
